Jacelyne Jackson

Jacelyne Jackson is a native of Miami, FL who has taken her community by storm. Jacelyne began her extensive training in dance at the age of 14. She is a former dancer of Dallas Black Dance Theatre II, she received additional training at The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre Summer Intensive Program(s), and was one of the top 25 finalists on "So You Think You Can Dance" Season 7.

 

Serenity Center for the Arts serves as a home away from home where children, youth, and adults can gather and be free to express themselves through the intricate art form of dance. S.C.T.A. also serves as a program that will develop the skills of it's students that will essentially lay a foundation for their future. Jacelyne serves as a thriving entrepreneur and is the Founder/Artistic Director of Serenity Center for the Arts.

Joshua Jackson

Art Instructor

Joshua Jackson is a native of Ft. Lauderdale, FL who was exposed to drawing and painting at the tender age of 4 years old. Joshua, who goes by the name of “Jay Picazzo”, is a self- taught trailblazing artist. His styles consist of a combination of realism and expressionism. His medium of choice is Acrylic Paint. Joshua Jackson is a proud African- American artist who is a strong believer in Christ. Most of his art work illustrates his faith and his struggles of being a black man in America. Art has become his platform to express his beliefs and feelings on subjects that have affected him personally along with the inequalities that plague the black community.
